This drawing celebrates the spirit of the Olympic games, first started 776 B.C. , but existing until today. An ancient greek athlete is throwing a javelin in the first olympic stadium, and the javelin flies into a modern Olympic arena decorated with numerous international flags. The piece symbolizes the timeless connection between the origins of the Games and their present-day celebration of unity and inclusion for countries all over the world.

Climate change is a serious threat to mankind and rising ocean temperature is not an exception. At first glance, this painting might seem very odd. It is like a piece of marine life squeezed into a teapot. But, the painting is trying to depict the ongoing problem and how marine life is suffering due to rising temperature.

the reality beyond the lens: Through the years, humans have littered and destroyed the ocean. This drawing shows the future ocean, where most of the turtles have gone extinct. The few turtles left are held bound in an area that is used as a photo zone to take pictures and present them to the public. However, the photos presented to the public are different from reality. if you look closely at the camera screen, you will notice that it does not match the scenery itself. Using an app, the camara takes a picture of a healthy and happy turtle and does not show the surrounding trash. The lens does not tell the true story in the future, especially in the polluted ocean.

This drawing of a bagel was inspired by a bagel sandwich I came across while on a family vacation in Hawaii when I was younger. The bagel was originally a deep purple color, but I wanted it to change it up a bit to give it an eye-catching touch, while also putting in my joyful memories with my family on the vacation.

Art is a vision, a seeking desire to discover beauty. A vision is complete when we look at a place with intent; it is through this motivation that we truly care about a place. For years, careless human activities have damaged nature. To represent this devastating state, the landscapes are expressed with rough lines of black ink. In contrast, the eye and the light represent an eye with the intent to discover beauty and to love nature. In such ways, I hope both “Blue Discovery” and “Green Discovery" will remind people that they too will find beauty in nature.

At first glance, this painting may seem humorous, or even cute. Yet, this painting is sending a serious message about climate change and rising ocean temperature.
The broken ice shows that the animals in the painting have no place to go. If you look closely, you’ll see that the water that they are submerged in is steaming and boiling. This represents the hot temperature of the ocean. Not only are they enjoying a relaxing swim they are, in fact, also trying to survive in the new climate that is too hot for them. Although I adopted a seemingly humorous interpretation and the animals seem rather “cute,” through this, I wanted to show how precious these animals are.
This interpretation aims to show that this is the grim future that the Earth can possibly face. I hope that the underlying message behind this piece is not overlooked.

This drawing of a ring has it’s beutiful gems on the inside and the engraving is on the outer part of the ring, which makes a unique, even peculiar style. By breaking away from tradition, the design shows that beauty and value don’t always have to be on display to matter. Instead, it focuses on what’s hidden, making it special for the person wearing it rather than for others to see.

This silhouette of a theme park against a stunning sky brings a sense of nostalgia, recalling the excitement and wonder of childhood my childhood. The image invites a sense of wonder, where the promise of adventure and fun meets the beauty of the sky above.

This bowl of udon takes a familiar comfort food and transforms it into something strikingly unusual, with noodles that almost appear to be made of metal. The odd colors and textures challenge the traditional, inviting us to reconsider the way we view and experience food.

Hodoo and Maca, my dogs that I’ve had for seven years now, mean the whole entire world to me. I wanted to express my love and appreciation for them through my artwork, using markers and color pencils as well as flowers they always sniff when they go out for a walk.

This piece of painting links the comfort and discomfort between two major topics. The sense of calmness of a living room contrasts the uneasy feeling of flood water gushing into the house through the window. If looked at closely, you might notice the running sink, opened fridge, and turned on microwave. These features in the drawing make it clear that these issues aren’t distant or detached, but are already seeping into our everyday lives. This makes the situation even more unsettling, as it highlights how the causes of these environmental disasters that are effecting us are tied to our own consumption and disregard.

The two soldiers in this painting are enemies each fighting for their country. However, even though they are enemies, they hug and embrace each other as they both know what it is like to fight in a war. This also shows how the soldiers do not want to fight, but are forced to by their governments. If countries are at war or in conflict, it doesn't mean that the people from either side have to hate the other.
